This pretty girl is Benson’s cousin and the first of 5 missionaries our family has leaving this year! She is such a sweet, loving and funny girl and the people of Colorado are lucky to have her!
Benson’s youngest sisters are two of the other missionaries we have leaving soon. Since all three girls are close in age and good friends, we had them come join our little photo shoot so we could get some pictures of the three of them together.
Of course, we couldn’t keep things too serious
Abby loves her babies and her bike.
The latest masterpiece of budding artist Abigail Garner, age 1, is a conceptual installment entitled “playing with my mom’s makeup” and can be viewed on her parents bed for a limited time.
Being a mom to this little Abby Jane sure keeps life exciting. When I find her painting her own toes, hiding in the dark eating chocolate or dumping my makeup on my bed, I can’t help but laugh in amazement of her clever little mind.
The best part about Arizona in the “winter” are the beautiful days that make it extra fun to enjoy activities outside like hiking and, of course, the zoo! Abby has been to the zoo in Omaha, but, this was her first time at our local zoo as well as her first zoo trip since she turned one. We spent the day with my mom, dad and brother watching all the animals, climbing on the statues, petting goats and horses, and watching Abby mimic the animals.
Sweet little families with spunky little girls are pretty much my favorite.
A couple weekends ago we planned a trip up to Lakeside. Benson’s brother had been trying to plan a snowboarding trip for them since last year, and I hate to let a winter go by without seeing snow, so off we went. Obviously we can’t predict the weather, but I can’t say that I wasn’t hoping for it to actually snow while we were there (I am a weird Arizonian who loves snow alright?). As luck would have it not only did it rain the entire time instead of snowing, all the snow that had previously fallen had pretty much melted, so there was no playing in the snow for this girl!
Benson did had a fun, albeit cold and wet, snowboarding trip with two of his brother’s though, and all this really means is that now we have an excuse to make another trip once it snows again
(And really, a weekend snuggled in a warm house in the mountains cuddling babies and drinking hot chocolate is not one to complain about!)
Close your eyes to make a wish, blow out the candles…
and eat cake two forks at a time…
now that is what Birthday’s are all about!
Has hair finally long enough for pigtails!
Is in love with her Peter Rabbit doll “baybee” or “munny” (bunny) and always has crazy hair.
Has her dad (and mom) wrapped around her little finger (still).
1- Her hair is long enough for pigtails! 2- Our adventurous little girl spanning the gap between the bed and nightstand to get to her book. 3- Snuggled in bed with all her babies watching “ewmo” (Elmo) 4- She learned to open the baby gate at the bottom of my parents stairs. 5- Feeding duckies at the park. 6- Falling asleep on mom’s lap. 7- Sweetest little sad face. 8- One of her favorite Christmas presents, her kitchen. 9- Abby and her friend Rolo going on a “walk” together
